Quarterly, members of GVARC meet to clean up a one mile stretch of roadway in Sahuarita. We gave up the stretch of roadway we had for many years, and requested a replacement. The new section of road is on the North side of Duval Mine Road, near the Titan Missile Museum entrance/exit. Look for our familiar road sign.
14 total plus Pete! Paul Fitch N2PSF and his wife won the contest for the most interesting items found; half a pair of glasses, can of snuff, room card key, road reflector, and some car parts. Honorable mention goes the Toal's who found an almost new tire, and a 4'x5' campaign sign. So the custom Ice Cream Scooper made from a 200 year Pennsylvania farm house (Rescued Black Walnut) goes to the Fitch's. More than half of us met early at Taco Bellwas to enjoy a large cup of coffee and a breakfast burrito for just $2.50. Sharon Smith KF7YJW has volunteered to "pick up" the duties for scheduling future GVARC road side cleanups! Thanks Sharon and to all those attending on the second.
