On November 20, 10 members drove to Fort Huachuca to tour the Buffalo Soldiers Museum and the MARS radio facility. With the help of Mike Bass and Jeff Seligman, we enjoyed Chris's description of the life of the US Army soldier in the post-Civil War era--$13 per month, hardtack, raw coffee and lots of heat and dust. After lunch at the PX, we viewed the MARS facility and heard about the current status of military and civilian cooperation in radio, particularly in emergency communication. The weather cooperated enough to allow for a cool and mostly dry trip.

Driveout to Pima Air Museum
Wednesday, October 2, 2019, 9 a.m. On Oct. 2, a beautiful sunny morning, three members enjoyed a tram tour of the Pima Air Museum before exploring the hangers filled with many, varied aircraft. A yummy lunch at Cattletown Steak House followed. |

On Saturday, July 20th, twelve members braved the heat for the "Cool Summer Nights" at the Tucson Sonora Desert Museum. NOT!! The Lightning Photo presentation was great but the Apollo Mission program missed the mark, at least for adults. The hummingbirds were zinging as always and we had a great visit!
