Launch4life037 (45K) Around 8:00 AM On December 2, 2006 the club canopies where set up in the Titan Missile Museum parking lot with one designated as the Radio Shack the other as the BBQ/ potluck tent.

Early arrivals Joe NX2L with a large Pot of beef stew enough to feed an army and Tom W1HRO where the first but before long there was lots of help,

PC020002 (177K) Lloyd N7GV arrived with all the radio Equipment which included a Kenwood HF Transceiver and a 600 watt linear amplifier. Yes, the sigh became correct that day "Danger RF Radiation"

Electrical extension cord where ran and the Generator started, as the radio was set up the BBQ table and chairs arrived and the first of many Eyeball & RF QSOs where begin.

Launch4life0208 (59K) Along about 11:30 The volunteer cooks Gary and Carol WS1W & WS1X started the Grill and before long Hamburger and Hot dogs where ready, The Potluck dishes where the best, with a suggestion that next time the maker must bring the recipe to share with others.

Launch4life002 (55K) The Museum's 50 year old Discone antenna preformed very well with lots of 5 and 9 plus signal reports all over the North American Continent, There where even pile ups of station waiting to contact N7GV.

PC020008 (141K) Several Operators including John AC7JM contacted 85 SSB stations from about 8:30 to 2:00. Not bad for a 50 year old antenna. with a bunch of hungry Ham operators

The day was clear and calm with Temperatures getting up in the low 70s.
