Field Day 2008

June 28th & 29th, 2008

Our mission was clear...

WE7GV (116K) Unpacking the Gear (116K) Field Day is finally upon us!

Antenna work (116K) Antenna work (116K) The first task will be to set everything up tonight, or at least set up as much as we can.

Antenna work (116K) fine tuning (116K) There are antennas to assemble and raise, batteries, solar panels, and cables to put in place, equipment to check out, supplies to distribute, etc., etc. Hence, we need lots of help.

This ought to hold that antenna down (116K) GVFD Training Room (116K) We plan be at the Fire District Headquarters by about 4:00 p.m. to discuss and assign tasks. Food will be there by 5:00 p.m., so we can eat and then work, or do it the other way around if that is your preference. Actual set up will begin about 6:00 p.m.

GVFD Station (116K) GVFD Station (116K) In the event of rain (last night's rain took out our Internet connection) we'll do the best we can.

Our Host (116K) bits and pieces (116K) Of course, our prime concern is safety. We will have water available, so please make sure you stay hydrated.

One more thing -- Please bring your digital camera if you have one. We have someone to be our official photographer, but he can't be everywhere at once.
See you tonight (and tomorrow and Sunday)!!
