GVARC Christmas Banquet

Our 2009 Christmas Banquet will be on Wednesday, 9 December, at the Grill on the Green at Canoa Ranch Golf Club. A cash bar will be available starting at 1700 with dinner being served at 1800.

Christmas Tree 1 (98K) This year we are again offered only one dinner choice (vegans will be accommodated):

The cost is $27.50 per person (the Club will pay the $6.00 tax, tip, etc. per meal).

  1. Reservations are necessary. We need to let Grill on the Green know how many will attend not later than 2 December. We need to receive your checks by that time as well.
  2. We will have a banquet signup sheet at the 11 November GVARC meeting. Please let us know how many reservations you need. If you can give Carolyn a check at that time (for $27.50 x no. reservations), it would be much appreciated.
  3. If you cannot attend the meeting, please e-mail Ron Gross or Carolyn with your reservation information. Dee Gross, AD7NM, will make sure all reservation information gets to Grill on the Green.

Since this is a Christmas Banquet and there are a number of traditions represented among our membership, I invite anyone who wishes to present a song or short reading or poem that expresses the meaning of this time of year to you. It can be secular, religious, patriotic, or whatever. Maybe you’d even like to give a tribute to our Founding Fathers for the great country their faith, courage, and sacrifice gave us. We hope the evening might prove to be moving as well as entertaining.

We will also have our annual elections after the banquet. Nominees for this year will be announced at the November GVARC meeting on 11 November.
