The GVARC Fall Potluck and Picnic was held on Thursday, 1 November at
the Madera Canyon picnic area
The Club supplied tube steaks,
soft drinks, water, paper plates, and utensils

Update on the Titan Missile Museum

The cable from the antenna to the parking
lot has been installed and is available for GVARC members use...
Its use has been offered to the rest of the
Ham Radio Community.
Our GVARC station has its new call letters:
WE7GV
Please note that soon the Echolink/IRLP
nodes and the club Repeaters will all be identified using the new
call.
The control of the Club Station by internet
and the linking of all three repeaters
is making good progress. Ron, AA7RP, will give
us an update at a future meeting...

2 Meter Net
The "Oatmeal Net" meets every Wednesday morning
at 0900 on the 145.29 [-600 no PL] repeater. Everyone is invited to join!
The "Ice Cream Net" meets at 1830 every Thursday
on the 145.29 repeater [-600 no PL]. It lasts about 30 min. After the net, those who
so desire can make their way to Kelly's Ice Cream Parlor, where the event
continues with eyeball QSOs.
Ice Cream Social
The Kelly's Ice Cream parlor is the place to be after the 2 meter net on Thursday eve.
Regulars include Doc NØXIR, Lloyd N7GV, Carolyn AB7KC, Bob AD7FQ, Linda AD7FP, and Ron
AA7RP, along with many others that eyeball QSO until they close the place at 8:00 PM.
Checking into the net is not mandatory for the Ice Cream Social.
20 Meter - Snowbird Net
The 20 meter "Snowbird Net" meets Wednesdays at 1:00 PM local time (2000 UTC) on 14.242 +/- from May thru September
Net Control Station - WE7GV
The GVARC Club Station has a Yaesu FT-1000 with a Drake linear Amplifier.
The Antenna's are inverted V dipoles for 80M & 40M with the SteppIR Beam For 20
thru 10 meters.
