Titan Missile Museum 24th Anniversary Event

GVARC sponsored a special event at the Titan Missile Museum using the fifty-year-old Discone antenna.

We were on the air from 0800 to 1600 to operate and log the contacts.

We, also, setting up stations on other bands as well.

There will probably be a huge spike in the website for today. We had over 200+ people check into the special event. Several stopped back in to say they just went to the website.

The special event went very well. It was cloudy and cool for most of the morning. The 20 meter band was active and we logged 9+ sheets of contacts. Each sheet has 40 lines. Forty and 15 meters weren't very good. Perhaps a total of ten contacts.

We made contacts with 36 states and four foreign countries as follows:

The 40 meter band produced 240 contacts and the 20 and 15 meter bands the remaining fifteen contacts.
